Michael takes a holistic approach, encompassing investment, estate, retirement, and educational funding planning as well as charitable giving, benefits design and risk management. He believes in a team approach to financial planning because it ensures clients are provided with the most current strategies and creative ideas. Michael’s team includes not only a local presence, but also a national network of specialists in many areas including changing tax laws, business succession planning, civil unions, employee stock option planning, special needs planning, and group benefits.
Over the course of his practice, Michael has found the difference between having this work done vs. having it done as well as possible results in greater financial security, confidence, and clarity. He enjoys works with a wide range of clients including professional individuals and their families, small business owners, corporate executives, management consultants, associations, physicians, attorneys, academics, art, design and advertising professionals as well as same-sex couples.
In his spare time, Michael is an avid cyclist, spending lots of quality time riding along Lake Michigan. He has traveled all over the world and lived in several countries including Sweden, England, and Spain. Michael is proud to be involved in several organizations focusing on causes that are important to him, such as, social justice, the environment and homeless youth.
