Jeff Burgess is a Financial Planner who believes deeply in the power of knowledge and the lifelong impact of financial education. With six years of previous experience as a tax professional preparing individual and sole-proprietor income tax returns, Jeff approaches his work as both an educator and a guide—helping clients understand their options while building genuine, long-standing relationships.
Prior to his current role, Jeff spent two years with AIG, where he discovered his passion for working with individuals and families navigating significant life transitions such as marriage, starting a family, and preparing for retirement.
Jeff is also an active member of his community and the financial services industry. He is the founder and director of Chip Away at Cancer, a charity golf outing supporting the American Cancer Society. Since 2020, he has served on the Associate Board of Ambassadors for the American Cancer Society and is a proud member of the Plainfield Shorewood Area Chamber of Commerce. Jeff also contributes to the growth of the firm through his service on the WestPoint Advisory Board (2025).
At the center of Jeff’s personal life are his wife, Katie, and their daughters, Reese and Emma. When he’s not working to serve others, Jeff enjoys running, golfing, cooking, and attending concerts. He prides himself on being philanthropic, embracing new experiences, and striving every day to become a better version of himself.
