Jacob Martin brings resilience, dedication, and perspective to his work as a Financial Planner. His journey into the financial services industry is shaped by an inspiring personal story of transformation and perseverance.

Weight was a challenge Jacob faced growing up, reaching 407 lbs. at his peak. While attending Purdue University, he managed to lose some weight, but lasting progress came in 2016 when—with the encouragement of his now-wife, Laura—he committed to long-term lifestyle changes. In just 20 weeks, Jacob lost 107 lbs. and has maintained that success ever since. Along the way, he ran two half marathons and discovered a love for staying active.

He credits this achievement to a mindset he also applies in his financial practice: staying focused on what matters most, showing up consistently, and committing to small, steady steps that add up to lasting results. Jacob believes this perspective helps him connect deeply with clients who may feel uncertain about their future, giving them both encouragement and actionable strategies to move forward with confidence.

A proud graduate of Purdue University with a B.S. in Management, Jacob now lives in Columbus with his wife, Laura, their son, Bo, and their Newfoundland, Tonks (named after the Harry Potter character). He enjoys serving on community boards, coaching youth football, and bringing his energy and enthusiasm to help families and individuals achieve their goals.
