George West specializes in working with childcare business owners at every stage of growth, helping them explore financial strategies designed to support stability and long-term success. His focus includes business lending options, tax considerations, estate strategies, and retirement preparation. Recognizing the vital role childcare providers play in their communities, George is passionate about equipping them with resources to strengthen both their businesses and their futures.
Before joining WestPoint Financial Group’s Chicago office, George built a diverse career that reflects his commitment to service and leadership. A graduate of the Institute of Art–Chicago with a degree in Culinary Arts, he began his professional journey in hospitality before transitioning into financial services. His previous roles include serving as a Financial Advisor at Northwestern Mutual and as a Patient Services Manager at Philips, where he honed skills in organization, strategy, and client care.
George is also active in the community. He serves on the Board of Illinois Action for Children, the state’s leading Childcare Resource and Referral agency, and holds memberships in the American Montessori Society (AMS) and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). Additionally, he contributes to Chicago’s business community through the Great River North Business Association.
Outside of work, George enjoys playing tennis, football, basketball, and volleyball, as well as chess, which reflects his analytical and forward-thinking nature. He is also a loving husband and father who values time with his family above all else.
