Dr. Marco A. Tinor is a Financial Services Professional with WestPoint Financial Group who brings a unique blend of executive leadership, business development, pastoral ministry, education, and community engagement to his work with clients.
Throughout his career, Marco has built a reputation for helping people navigate important decisions, find clarity in complex situations, and move forward with confidence. Before joining WestPoint, he served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of By The Hand Club For Kids, a multi-site Chicago nonprofit serving thousands of young people and families. Earlier, he spent nearly a decade as Senior Pastor of St. Paul Baptist Church, where he led, counseled families, developed leaders, and built meaningful relationships across faith, nonprofit, civic, and community networks.
Marco also brings a strong background in consultative sales and business development. During his career with ADP, he earned President’s Club recognition and ranked among the top performers in his region. Today, he brings that same relationship-driven approach to financial services—listening first, helping clients understand their options, and providing clarity around decisions that can impact their families, businesses, and futures.
Marco holds a Doctor of Ministry from United Theological Seminary, a Master of Divinity in Urban Ministry from Pittsburgh Theological Seminary, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Management & Finance from the University of Pittsburgh, Katz School of Business. His doctoral research focused on financial stewardship and engaging emerging generations.
His leadership and community impact have been recognized by Crain’s Chicago Business, which named him to its 2024 Notable Black Leaders list, and Pittsburgh Magazine, which selected him as a 2022 40 Under 40 honoree.
