Don Swanson is a Wealth Advisor with Wela Financial. Don continues to advise clients as well as mentors and supports the team members as they contribute to the holistic client experience.
Don entered the Financial Services industry 38 years ago, starting with a focus on insurance and income security. He had an interest in helping clients and families go deeper into planning and understanding how financial security can enhance quality of life. From there he entered the path of fee- based planning and investment management to expand and deepen relationships with his clients. Don has a passion for connecting with people and listening to their dreams and goals and helping formulate plans to work towards making those dreams and goals become reality.
Don has been married to Kathe for 31 years and they have two children and three grandchildren. Don’s passion for golf and time with family and friends along with Kathe’s love of her family and travel have landed them part time in Arizona. They both enjoy spending time outdoors in AZ during the winter along with beautiful summers in Vernon Hills. Kathe and Don met at church years ago and are current active members of Joy! Lutheran Church.
