Growing up with a father in the business, Brian always had in the back of his mind that someday he would like to join his father’s firm. However, like most children, he had many other dreams he wished to pursue. He knew he wanted to make his own mark but also saw the importance of helping others with their personal finances.
After graduating from Indiana University–Bloomington, Brian accepted a position in Orlando, Florida. Following a year of work, his path shifted in the wake of the 2009 financial crisis. In one fell swoop, he witnessed the corporate side of a Fortune 500 company and saw firsthand the growing need for providing sound financial advice.
Brian began his career at WestPoint Financial Group as a staff member, servicing the investment side of his father Gary’s business. Those early years provided him with a deep understanding of the vital role financial advisors play. He saw the long-term success of clients who had followed his father’s guidance, giving him a unique perspective that few young advisors possess.
In 2012, Brian married his wife, Katie, and shortly after the birth of their first child in 2014, transitioned into a full-time advisory role—allowing Katie to stay home with their daughter. Early in his career, Brian was trained in the LEAP System and later transitioned to using Wealth Building Cornerstones (WBC) in 2015 as a key component of his strategy approach. While LEAP and WBC are closely aligned philosophically, he found WBC provided clearer communication for clients and incorporated strong academic research to support the strategies presented.
Whether clients are seeking a comprehensive financial strategy or focused guidance on investments, life insurance, or disability income protection, Brian is committed to helping them move confidently toward their goals.
Since 2015, Brian and Katie have welcomed two more children—both sons. Family is at the center of his life, and his passion for studying Reformed theology and the gospel has become a meaningful part of their shared time together. Outside of work, Brian enjoys watching IndyCar racing and IU basketball, traveling with his family, and being actively involved in their local Lutheran church, where he participates in a church plant effort to help bring a Reformed congregation to the Fort Wayne area.
