With more than 25 years of experience in the investment and insurance industries, Brett Bauch works with individuals and families to develop strategies tailored to their unique circumstances. Over half of his career has focused on special needs planning, an area that holds personal meaning for him due to his own family’s experiences with the challenges and opportunities involved.
Brett earned both his undergraduate and graduate degrees from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. Throughout his career, he has served in a variety of roles, including trader, portfolio designer, managing representative, compliance specialist, independent financial planner, and investment specialist. He also holds multiple professional designations, including Chartered Special Needs Consultant (ChSNC®), Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA), and Certified Financial Planner (CFP®).
Dedicated to community service, Brett has been a board member of Wispact (Wisconsin Pooled and Community Trusts), the largest special needs pooled trust in the country, where he served two consecutive years as board chair. He has also been the longtime treasurer of GiGi’s Playhouse Madison, a Down Syndrome achievement center, and contributes his expertise on the finance committees of several nonprofit organizations.
Outside of work, Brett enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife, Katie, and their sons, Sam and Jake. Together, they have hiked the Ausangate Trek in Peru, the Liechtenstein Trail, and Mount Kilimanjaro. Brett has also reached the summit of Denali, climbed Devils Tower and Grand Teton, and taken numerous canoeing trips through Quetico Provincial Park. He also enjoys kayaking, fly fishing, cheering on Badgers football, and supporting his sons’ athletic pursuits in gymnastics, track, and diving.
