Educating the Educators

Our mission at WestPoint Financial Group is simple; we are dedicated to educating our school clients to help them fulfill their financial goals. Educators have a complex program of benefits. Our approach is to utilize our expertise and experience as a “team” to assist our clients in understanding and coordinating their benefits.

We provide resources for both the educator and School Corporation. Those resources include educational workshops, financial planning, retirement plans (403b’s & 401a’s), insurance solutions, and individual investment programs. We also work with educators and retirees concerning their own specific needs.

Special Care

Our Special Care Team assists families that are caregivers for individuals with special needs. Our team approach helps ensure proper life care planning for the individual with special needs and their caregiver. We provide education, resources and financial solutions for families so they can focus on caregiving.

Special Care Planners* works with you and your professional advisors – your banker, accountant or financial planner, lawyer, social workers and health care providers – to review your financial picture and offer options that make sense for your situation.

*The Special Care Planner receives advanced training and information in estate and tax planning concepts, special needs trusts, government programs, and the emotional dynamics of working with people with disabilities and other special needs and their families. Many of our representatives have earned the SpecialCare SM certificate from The American College, for *MassMutual’s Special CareProgram.

Residents and Physicians

We work with many individuals in the medical field. Over the years, we have assisted many physicians and residents with varying specialties, designed specific programs to fit their needs, and put insurance policies in place to help protect their paycheck in the event they become ill or injured.

Our goal is to help protect their ability to earn an income as well as accumulating wealth and to provide them the resources they will need in the future. Through a comprehensive financial planning process we can assist our clients accumulate, protect and distribute their wealth.

  • We work with more than 250 medical residents, fellows, & physicians, both here in Indianapolis and in various states throughout the nation.
  • We regularly speak to many of the residency/fellowship programs at IU School of Medicine and St. Francis Hospital, providing educational outreach about financial planning in residency and in practice.
  • We are a perennial sponsor at Match Day for graduating IUSM medical students and hold several events each year for graduating students and residents/fellows.
  • We advise our clients in areas such as:
    • Building emergency funds (money market accounts, systematic contributions, short-term investments).
    • Risk management (Own-Occupation disability income insurance, life insurance, long-term care insurance).
