Steve Sharp is a Partner at WestPoint Financial Group who believes success begins with relationships—both personal and professional. His first and greatest responsibility is to his family—his wife, Martha, and their son, George Henry—followed closely by his commitment to helping others achieve financial security and personal growth.
Steve grew up on a small dairy farm in Northwest Indiana, where he developed the values of hard work, humility, and service that continue to guide him today. A ten-year 4-H participant and student leader, Steve was active in drama and athletics, experiences that shaped his dedication to teamwork and leadership. He earned his degree in Economics from Ball State University, where he served as Vice President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
His professional journey began in public service, working on a successful congressional campaign. After the election, Steve shifted gears—searching for “jobs for people with Econ degrees”—and found his calling in financial services. Since joining the industry in 2014, he has built a career defined by education, mentorship, and client-centered planning.
In January 2025, Steve achieved a major milestone by becoming a Partner at WestPoint Financial Group. In addition to managing his own practice, he mentors new advisors, focusing on developing strong teams rooted in integrity and collaboration. He often says his goal is “to surround myself with the right people—and then choose to treat those people right.”
Outside of work, Steve enjoys spending time with his family and friends, fitness, sports, personal development, and exploring the vibrant restaurant scene in his Broad Ripple neighborhood.
Ever since he was young, Steve has been driven by a simple philosophy: to leave people better than he found them. His passion for helping others grow—financially and personally—continues to inspire his work every day.
