Steve Sharp
My second responsibility in life is Financial Advisor. My first responsibility is husband to Martha and a member of an incredible family, without which I am nothing. I grew up on a little dairy farm in Northwest Indiana. I was a 10-year 4-Her, member of my student council, active in drama club, and a varsity athlete. I wasn’t tall enough, or frankly talented enough if we want to be particular, to be a college athlete. Additionally, my total lack in singing ability caused any career aspirations on the stage to be cut short. I attended Ball State University where I was the Vice President of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity and graduated with a degree in Economics.
I began my career in 2014 working on a political campaign. The campaign went great. We won the election! The only problem was the Congressman I worked for was out of work for me, at least until we ran for re-election in 2 years. Needless to say, going 2 years without an income was not in the cards so I rolled up my sleeves and searched online, “jobs for people with Econ degrees,” which is what led me here. I cannot say I would recommend this career search strategy to everyone, but it worked for me.
I married my wife, Martha, in December 2022 and today I live on the North side of Indianapolis in the Broadripple neighborhood with her and our 2 dogs, Finley and Ivy. These days I enjoy working my career, the company of my friends, watching sports, going out to eat, fitness, and personal development. Ever since I was young, I have always had a passion for leaving people a little better off than when I found them. I love to teach people and develop them into the best version of themselves. So it is only natural that 9 years later I would still be doing this. This career is not so much what I do, it’s who I am, and I am very grateful for the opportunity to connect with you.
