Preston grew up in the small town of Blanchardville, Wisconsin, as one of seven children raised on a family farm. Active in sports from a young age, he went on to attend Edgewood College, where he played baseball and earned a business degree with concentrations in marketing, management, and finance.
He began his career in the banking industry with M&I Bank, where he advanced into commercial real estate. Most recently, Preston served as Chief Talent Officer for a financial firm in Madison and brings more than 12 years of industry experience to his role today.
Preston currently resides on the west side of Madison, Wisconsin. Outside of work, he enjoys Badger football games, live sporting events, and concerts and festivals. A lifelong sports enthusiast, he is an avid fan of the Bucks, Brewers, and Bears.
