Wei Yang
As a Partner with WestPoint Financial Group, Wei works with financial professionals to help them develop and build their financial services careers. With an extensive background in the financial services industry dating back to 2000, Wei supports the agency through seminars, advanced joint sales work, and recruiting.
Wei was an immigrant from China to the U.S. in 1995. She became a U.S Citizen in 2005.
In 2012, Wei qualified for the Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT), the premier association of some of the world’s top sales professionals in financial services. She has also received her Life Underwriter Training Council Fellow (LUTCF) designation from the American College.
Most recently Wei served 12 years as an agent and 6 years as a partner at the New York Life Insurance company.
Wei has a degree in Geography from Northeastern Normal University of China, and an MBA in Accounting and Finance from Northeastern Illinois University. Community involvement is important to Wei, as she is the President of the American Northeastern Chinese Association (ANCA) & an External Advisory Council Alumni Member of Northeastern Illinois University, she is also an active member (since 2010) of the National Association of Life Insurance & Financial Advisors (NAIFA).
